(Stanley) David Seal passed away peacefully on January 8, 2015 at Bowmanville Lakeridge Health Centre, in his 78th year. Dave was a long time cottager at Oxtongue Lake and shared many happy times with families from around the lake. Dave came to Oxtongue Lake in the 1940’s, when his parents (Stan and Isabel Seal) built their first cottage, and he had spent almost every summer there since his childhood. So many events in Dave’s life were connected to Oxtongue – he met his first wife, Sheena Drummond the summer she worked at Oxtongue Lake Cottages; he was involved on the executive of the OLA for many years; and he was the barbeque captain for several Oxtongue Lake Regattas. Dave loved puttering around the cottage, boating, visiting with friends, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by many people on the lake – his brother (Donald Seal), his wife (Claire Cobourn), his children (Jana and Mike Zavitz, and David and Joanne Seal), his grandchildren (Logan, McKinley, Emily and Laura), his cousins (Susan and Scott Beemer), and his many friends.
